TULSA, Okla. -  Mill Creek Lumber & Supply’s Jim and Jeff Dunn were selected as the LBM Journal’s 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year. Each year the LBM Journal considers hundreds of dealers from across the United States for this award. The LBJ Journal is a unique monthly magazine that is focuses on strategies and profits for lumber and building material dealers.

“Jim and Jeff Dunn are the kind of guys that business books are written about. I’m proud to honor them, and Mill Creek Lumber & Supply,” said Rick Schumacher, the editor and publisher for LMB Journal.

“The LBM Journal recognized the value of what the Mill Creek has accomplished over the last couple years and we are extremely grateful for this award”, said Mill Creek’s Lumber & Supply CEO and President Jeff Dunn.

Mill Creek Lumber & Supply is $200 million-plus company that operate six lumberyards, a custom mill, an architectural woodworking plant, a wholesale operation, a professional tool and fastener retail store, a commercial flooring division, and eighteen retail carpet and tile stores. The company, headquartered in Tulsa, has locations in eight Oklahoma cities, as well as five locations in Texas. The company was founded in 1934, and today is owned by the Dunn family of Tulsa and employs over 400 full time employees. Jeff Dunn presides as the current President with his father, Jim Dunn, as Chairman.
